Polaris Autoliners is pleased to announce the commencement of operations on the RoRo connection between Flushing, the Netherlands, and Dagenham in the United Kingdom, supporting Ford’s long-established automotive supply chain between the UK and continental Europe.

The service is operated by POLARIS OSLO, Polaris Autoliners’ 2,000 CEU car carrier built in 2010, together with the chartered Estraden, a 2400 lane metre RoRo vessel.

The route plays an important role in Ford’s European logistics network, handling vehicle imports into the United Kingdom as well as trailers carrying components between Ford production facilities across Europe.

The addition of the Flushing–Dagenham operation represents another important step in Polaris Autoliners’ continued expansion in European short-sea shipping and further strengthens the company’s position as an integrated logistics partner to the automotive industry.

“We are very proud to have been entrusted with this important operation for Ford. It demonstrates the confidence that leading automotive manufacturers are placing in Polaris and our ability to provide reliable and flexible shipping solutions. We see this as another important milestone in the continued development of Polaris Autoliners and our European network.”

Walid Salloum, Chairman, Polaris Group

With a growing owned and chartered fleet, Polaris Autoliners continues to invest in shipping capacity and integrated automotive logistics solutions connecting major production and distribution markets across Europe and beyond.
